All my writing experiences were kind of a writing lesson. With some it taught me how to be a better writer and some taught me that I had more abilities than I thought I had. My teacher in high school Mrs. Perkins always had us writing. There was this one time when we had to write about the goal we had in life of the next ten years of our lives and I thought I knew what I wanted to do so I was gone wait til the last minute and do my work. So I played around from doing the work until the night before it was do in class. When I sat down to do my work I though it was gone be a jiffy but I was sadly mistaken. I did know what to put down plus I didn’t even do an outline for it. So I just stared at it for a real long time until something came to my head but nothing ever came. I start to get worried about if I was gone have it ready for class the next day. So all I could do was just write stuff down that was kind of irrelevant and I thought it was gone be good and done. As I was writing I was erasing a lot of thing that I was writing down. All of my sentences was unstructured and a lot of bad grammar and in it as well. I didn’t know rather to stop or just give her what I had. This was a bad writing experience for me because anytime I write something about me or what I wanted to do in life it was never a problem but, on that day it posed a real problem. My handwriting was real sloppy and a lot of other messed up thing was wrong with it. But it taught me to always do my work ahead of time instead of playing around. I don’t think I ever want to experience something like that again when it comes to writing.
Well me and you had a similiar experience with writing. I messed and decided to write one of my papers at the last minute and it was so hard to write. I couldnt think about nothing. But now I know better to wait until the last minute than to write a paper now. The teacher who helped shape my writing skills was my tenth grade english teacher Mrs. Holliman. She was the best teacher ever to me.
ReplyDeleteWe all have past bad experiences in writing. I can name a few off the top of my head right now. We just have to look pass them and keep moving forward towards a better goals and achievements. We should just use all of our experiences as teaching tools.
