My Influences On My Writing

My influences on my writing skills are all passed over upon my Senior High School, Mrs. Amanda Randall. She was there to correct my mistakes with her red pen and grade book in hand. She showed me the guide lines and short cuts to a good paper. If she was not there to steer me on to the right track, I probably would not be a decent English student. All credit goes to her and the red bold point pen.

I started out not liking reports or writing anything. The topics were never interesting and I did not have anything to say during the essays. I often sat there wondering who would could I pay to write my papers. It took me staying after class and getting fussed at or holding me from sports practice for me to take writing serious. I am very thankful for learning the proper structure and form of writing papers because it has come in handy.

The most embarrassing writing incident I had was actually six weeks before I graduated. I report my final essay for Senior English. The English Teacher required the essays to have a minimum of one thousand words. The topics were not sparking my interest at all. I chose to write a paper about a career in the nursing field. I finished the essay in within four days. I turned it in that Friday morning. That following Monday, the English said I copy and pasted my whole report. It took me redoing my report in front of her to convince her I did not copy and paste it.

My good times on my writing is when I get a interesting topic. Writing about non interesting topics can effect a lot of student's writing performances. Keeping someone's motivation and brain into a report or essay can bring great and interesting ideas.
