My past experiences about writing was good, because I like to write and tell storys about everything. When you write you express yourself as if you was talking about yourself in the storys. In English class we always had prompts to write about,if it was narrative, Descripitive, and Persuasive. I always liked to write about a descriptive prompt, beacause it means to describe something and describing something isn't hard. just look at the prompt and read it like 4 or 5 times over and over again till you get a good understanding on describing the prompt,
My past experience was bad too, you would get quized on types of writing and prompts. And you would have to tell what the prompt was you was writing about, and list all the methods to writing in order and I would freeze up everytime. I stopped liking writing when I made it to the 12th grade cause it got harder and harder, the prompts are hard to define what they are if you dont read them carefully and slowly, and get an good understanding on what the prompt is really talking about. I have learned alot on writing good and bad, but I want to learn more and more about the correct writng skills, now that I'm in college I want to know all the correct methods to writing and to better myself to become a good writer.
While attending high school I enjoyed writing prompts in my English classes. I really miss those days. Its nice that you want to know the correct methods of learning, while attending school this summer we will learn from Mrs. Dechert.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the prompt part. I never got a good understanding on what a prompt were talking about unless it was my own prompt. I also nver really like writing period,because the teachers make you write like four or five paragraphs. I really hope you learn more about the correct writing skills that you need to improve.
ReplyDeletei have always liked to write narrative essays because they tell a story and i like to read essays that tell a story but i have had very bad experices with writing papers.
ReplyDeleteMe and you share the same styles of writing interest Alicia. It got very hard for me because of the last year,month we had to write a 6 page research paper on Macbeth. this paper was to determine whether or not we graduated. You are a good writer thats showing good progress. Keep it up

Your completly right about going blank while writing a paper. I also lose my trane of thought while brainstorming; in addition, I also go blank while reading a prompt. Well I don't get a good understanding. I'm just glad that your trying to do something with your life. Most people or students would just give up. Stay focused and try your best. Rodney Winters
