Lesson Learned--Jeffery Jernagin

One thing I learned this summer is to be your own person don't try to change yourself when your placed in a new enviorment. I mean I seen so many fake people out here trying to be something there not when it takes nothin to be yourself. It's nothin wrong with being yourself if you understand what you do and how you been raised all your life. I know its so many out of towners that come here and put on a whole other personality when they come to college. When you go to their hometown and see how they live its the exact opposite of how they try to act in college. I have seen alot over these little nine weeks and I see people everyday tryin to play the part and fit in with the crowd like thats cool. These days we're living in now people who act like that I call them fakers "outsiders" is a better name for them. I think things in life would go so smoother if we didn't have so many wanna b's and pretenders. This summer I learned everybody aint always who they came to be its alot of undercover things that go on when everyone is not around. The biggest lesson learned of the summer can some me up in about three ways being myself, staying in my own lane, and never changing. The way I interpret things could be different in someone else eyes but in mine all always be the same until my casket closes.
