Why I enrolled in the Summer Development Program-Trermaine Williams

I enrolled in the Summer Development Program at MSU is because I did not do well on my accuplacer or the ACT. I plan on enrolling here at Mississippi State University as a full time student, and join the Maroon and White Family. I like it here at State so far, the people here are really nice and friendly. I feel that the Summer Development Program will be something I can benefit from in the fall semester. This program will give me the necessary knowledge of the college like, where the classes at, what to expect from the instructors, and many more things that are to come ahead. I really did not plan to spend my summer here at State, but I feel it something that I needed to do. I needed to experience something where I am out of my normal settings and experience something different. I believe if I can be without the influence of my family and friends, I would be better off. I sometimes believe, I took my high school and the ACT for granted. If I could do it over then, I would take my high school days more serious.

The Summer Development Program could give me a even better chance on how I live my life. I already plan to live great, but with a college degree and going into the Air Force I do better. I will take this program very serious because to me, it is a chance of a life time. I realized that I can not afford to mess up in this program, or there are serious consequence. I have a motto that I heard and like, "Shoot for the moon and if u miss it, you still will land among the stars", and that's what exactly what I'm going to do. I'm really excited that I have the chance to become the memeber of Mississippi State University.
