I decided to come to summer school, because i really wanted to attend msu, and the only way i could is if i came to summer school. I also did not make high enough on my ACT. I think the reason why i did not do well on the ACT, is because i did not take it seriously. Now that i am taking summer school classes, i look at it as a secound chance at attending MSU. So really I honestly do not look at this summer experience as a chore. I thought it would be a fun experience, while learning to get in to the swing of collge life. also doing what it takes to attend MSU. After i pass these summer classes i do plan on attending full time as a student at MSU. I really take this summer program seriously. Passing this summer program is not a choice for me it is a requirement.
What I intend on accomplishing long term is graduating, and eventually working in a hospital somewhere being a neonatal nurse. I really like babies, so i know it will be more of a pleasure then a job for me. i want to actually like my job instead of working a job that i hate. so it is best i pursue what makes me happy most. which is taking care of babies. my short term goal is to pass and complete this program, and to also get established, as in getting myself a car. also to learn how to handle my own business. i am so use to my parents handling every thing, that i do not know how to do certain stuff myself. I think that it was best for me to leave home and go to Mississippi State because the time I am spending away from home will do me some good.
Didnt do to well on my act test either but its not like it determines your future. This program will help you get ready for your ongoing studies or whatever you decide to major in. I think you will be fine if you put your mind to it and pull through for these nine weeks.
ReplyDeleteHey Jordyn, I'm Rodney. Your blog is very insporational to me. It tells me that your confidence is what drives and motivates you. It should be pretty easy, if you attend classes. Our blogs are quite similar. My ACT score was low also. So I hope to see you in fall Jordyn. I wish all the luck in the world friend.

Jordyn, I can identify with you on not doing well on something because I didn't take it seriously. I think your perspective that passing this summer is a "requirement" not an "option" is a good one to have. Challenging yourself to do your best and requiring yourself to make good grades will motivate you to keep up with your homework and studies in order to get the grades you desire.
