I enrolled in the Summer Developmental Program here at Mississippi State because my Act score wasn’t up to par and I knew coming from the school district I came from I was going to need some help. To tell the truth I didn’t learn a lot at the school I was at and I knew I had to do something to kind of catch up.
Another reason why I came because I am attending Mississippi State in the fall and I wanted to get to know the campus and get familiar with everything down here. So when the fall comes I won’t be down here getting lost and looking stupid because I don’t have time for all of that.
While I am down here I plan to get my study habits better and get my time management skills better and also get my math skills better. Math is my weakest subject and I need to improve that before the fall come as well as improving in the other subjects.
we in the same boat about attending this Summer program,my act scores was a point away for starting last fall but instead I took the placement test and it place me in this Summer Program,math is my weakest subject,but when I pay attention in class and right down all the notes,you wont notice that math my weakest subject. Together we will succeed in this summer program,and hope to see each other in the Fall.
ReplyDeleteI feel you my brother I didnt do so well on the act myself but its always a way to still succeed. I understand you on your post this program will help the both of us get ready for college. Me and you in the same category with low act scores but we shouldnt let it determine what happens in the future for us.
ReplyDeleteI think its great that you that you decided to join the summer developmental program. I think that with doing this summer program you will get to know Starkville and the campus better. Math is my weakest subject too. Thats a subject I have to work hard in and study like everyday.

ReplyDeleteAnother good passage that I have read today in this blog. We also, are here attending this Summer Developmental Program for the same identical reasons. I too, had a very low ACT Testing score. But, coming to this Summer Devevlopmental Program is a benefit for all of us.
