English problems-- Jeffery Jernagin

I have had many problems in english since I've ever started grade school. In this program I have had a problem with finding the correct pronoun that goes in any sentence. Im just now undertanding that everything that sounds rite in the sentence is not correct. I use to have problems all the time putting the wrong pronoun in the sentence now I know how to find the verb, object of a preposition to make the sentence correct. I didn't really understand pronouns until this summer when we were in class and it was broken down to me. When I look back on it its easy because when you are finished breaking the sentence down its easier to find which correct pronoun goes with the sentence. I've learned that there are so many different cases that you should know before you chose the pronoun for a sentence. You have your first person, second person, and you possesive case. When I first came in this program I knew pronouns would be a problem for me because I was taught to do it the wrong way or a different way I didn't understand. In this program I have learned to think the sentence through and be more patient before i just think it sounds rite. I think my teacher was more presistant in teaching me now than I was taught back then because she never was into the teaching.

  2. Right, everything that sounds correct isn't correct, you have to make sure everything agrees with what you are talking about in that paticular sentence.
