English Chapter 28 Issues--Rodney Winters
Over the past 7 weeks I've only encountered one difficult unit in English. English is such an easy subject for me to learn. One day we were taught the chapter Present Tense Agreement. Learning all the other sections was a breeze. But learning Special Singular Constructions and Seperation of Subject and Verb was quite a challenge. All the subjects were similar but majority of them sound as if they were plural. I didn't understand at all what so ever. For example, I failed the homework for my first time out of the first six weeks. My homework grade was a 0/7 and 7/16. When I first saw the grades I was heartbroken. In addition, after I saw the corrections to my homework I still had a misunderstanding. Then the next day I reconigzed that I was looking for the wrong thing. I was looking for the subject in a prepositinoal phrase. First in line was to draw a line through the prepositional phrase or phrases and then choose a subject. And also if the subject was singluar the verb was plural. I had it all backwards and upside down. Special Singular Constructions were difficult to a certain extent. They all began with either, neither, each, one, everyone, and whichone. Similar to the Seperation of Subjects and verbs I had to elminate the prepositional phrase. It was extremely easy when I finally learned the proper way to do it. After learning the correct way to do it I made a practice and I passed it. In conclusion I made a(n) A on my real test.
