Challenging Challenges

Throughout summer development I have had some challenges. With math it is so hard to me cause i got to know so many rules behind everything or problem that I do. When it come down to doing certain problems it like with the double negatives it have to change into a positive and it will catch me up sometime when I’m doing my work. Just like if I know I’m doing the problem right I just run through it and then when I get done I find out that I messed up because I was suppose to have turned that negative in to a positive and I end up subtracting the problem be totally wrong.

Another thing that seem so challenging to me is English. English have a lot of rules too as well and when you write everything have to be in the correct way. The subject verb agreements and the uses of the common and semi colons are really killing me. I know English is the language we speak but it is so hard to write it. I don’t know why it’s so hard but they make so many rules to they probably don’t even know what they doing.

But the real deal probably why English and math is so challenging to me is cause of the rules. Some rules are simple and some are hard English and math are like overboard with some stuff and it gets to me and it seems like one you get something down its something different come up like when you learn about when you subtract from a negative number it’s still negative but when you multiply or divide the number end up being something different and sometime it can be very confusing but I can honestly say that summer development is really helping me.

  1. We have a lot in common. I also am having problems in English. English has never been a bright subject on my end of the rope. Every year, I have major problems in English because I get confused on some uses of words. Hopefully, it will improve by the time I get to Comp. in the Fall.

  2. I agree with you all the way. There are too many rules to writing english correctly. I've many issues with writing, but I took time and studied the correct way. And math can be very confusing also. But just keep doing it man you'll get it.

  3. My problem is not in English, but in Math I be so confused. I hate to ask questions because of the people in class they will always have something to say. But it seem like if I ask a question I still won't get it. But hopefully my math improves.

  5. I agree with you a little on the math. The only thing that I hate also is memorizing all the rules that come wit it. Another thing that I hate about this math is that we cannot use a calculator.
