HOW THINGS CHANGE----> BENNETT,ALICIA

The school I came from we wasn't that big on Writing, and Speaking, but we had to think alot. We didnt do that much stuff on writing because our classes was so big they looked at it as if writing really didnt matter. We would go over it, but we didnt really do writing exercises. In school speaking was'nt a big thing in our classes. We would'nt speak out loud that much, mostly did worksheets and turn them in, so just like writing we didnt come across it.

It was hard coming in to this program not knowing that much about writing, speaking, and Thinking the correct way. It was difficult working on these courses, but the teachers takes the time out to really inform you on the proper way of speaking, writing, but thinking you should know how to do that on your own. but as the program went on day by day it got easier and I felt comfortable speaking in front of the class and not get butterflies, cause back at school I wont say nun, ask no questions, answer no questions, cause I was too shy too. It seems as when you get in college you don't have a choice but to speak in front of others.

This program has helped me alot on Writing, Speaking, and Thinking because I would raised my hand to speak out loud about everything, and I use to hate writing about boring things as we talked about in the last blog. Doing these blogs invovles writing, and thinking. You have to think about what you want to say on the blog, then write about all the facts you need and ideas. You also speak bout what you have wrote, so therefore your writing, thinking, and speaking everyday, so me personally writing, thinking, and speaking have helped me whole lot cause I learned the important things that I shoild have learned in high school.

  2. i understand what you saying. this summer prgram is hard, especially if your high school really did not put a microscope on grammer and brain storming. mostly thats all we do here, is brain storm, write, and talk aloud with one another, in our english class. so yeah alicia i know what you mean when you explained about your high school, and there actions.
