Changes--- Jeffery Jernagin
My writing, speech, and thinking has took a tremendous turn around since I've been in this english course. In high school it was like I made so many errors with speech and writing thinking I was doing it the correct way. My writing has changed because I would usually rush myself thinkin any sort of verb can agree with any subject and it cant. In your class I finally learned to slow down pick out all the prepositional phrases and make sure the sentences has subject verb agreement. With my speaking I've really never had any problems but I talk a little slower than others im not a fast talker though. I can speak pretty well in my opinion I always talk loud enough and I always make sure my words are pronounced the correct way. In your class you always tell us to speak louder so the class can hear you and thats a important key to speaking. With my thinking process I always think a sentence, paper, or anything im about to do with a little time before I turn it in. When you think something through it will help you more than likely you can get it rite because its simple. When i was in high school I never took the time to think anything I did through and I most likely had trouble with lots of english.

I'm glad you see improvement in your work, Jeffrey. I can tell you think your answers through in class, and I agree with you that being careful is the key to finding the correct answer. Good work on an organized post with examples. It is a bit short though. In the future, remember to give plenty of explanation of your examples. For example, in this paragraph, you could better explain how your slow work to "pick out all the prepositional phrases and make sure the senteces ha[ve] subject verb agreement" has benefitted you through your understanding of the material, your test grades, etc. --Mrs. Dechert
ReplyDeletemy manz jeff , i definately agree with what you are talking about and proud of you. Because at the end of the day, the things we are learning will be applied to our everyday communications with other people. By the fall semester we will be able to write papers with extreme confidence.

I feel where you are coming from my brother my writing and speech has also changed tremendous to I have learned alot to brother since I entered into the summer developmental program I did not learn much in high school becuse i could not focus in class the students were loud and did not want to learn $JOHNNY MOORE$
ReplyDeleteJeff Jeff I didnt like to write to either maybe it was because I was just slow at thinking of something to write. but since this program we alln ahve improved in writing, speaking , and thinking but mostly writng and thinking, cause doing these blogs you have to write and think alot, so these blogs help you on your writing and thinking.<--- ALICIA
ReplyDeleteI didnt like to write either didnt even like to go to my english class. But after i figured out that i need that class to get through life I started to go and learn alot. And now i can look back and thank all my english teacher for pushing me to do good in there class-----ROBIN Davis
