there are alot of influences that partain to the way we talk. The way people speak comes from different resources such as parents and family, entertainment, and also peers. T.V. and entertainment influence half of the teenagers and kids by the way they say different words or how they speech is spoken. From example people from different hoods will slur their words as to people in the city will speak at a proper understanding to the country people that is speaking at a different pace than the ears could understand. As for me, the type of people im around that is how i speak. My social life is full of diversity. I have friends that came from different countrys cities and also different color than me. At times i cant understand somethings we may discuss because of where they learned a language at. My particular teacher in high school had helped me out with different languages to help understand other people. At my old job, Kroger, there were many people that came in and shopped from kids to adults. Whatever culture they were from, i had to attempt to hold a conversation with them. For example, i have a friend that is from nigeria and his name is Larry the way he say certain words that i cant rarely understand. On fathers day, he wished his father a happy fathers day but when he said it it sounded like something inappropriate that was said. I over expanded my language skills because i wanted to make them feel welcome to come back to the store. Alot of people have a problem with speaking in front of others because they are shy and speech is not a strong point in their life. I am very thankful that I can view different people with cultures and word structures so that I can learn whats different
