I am Nikevia Wells. A couple of weeks ago I graduated from high school, and then a few days later became a college student. So far I have been taking summer development classes at University of Mississippi State in Starkville. This is the first time that I have been away from my home for a long period of time and I still have not gotten use to it. One positive thing though is that I am not going through this experience alone. My twin sister and my cousin have joined me for this experience, making this so much easier because I did not know anyone here, at first that is. I have gotten tons of friends and have meet alot of nice teacher along the way making this experience really worth while.
I have two brothers and one sister sitting at home right now. My younger sister is now a senior and will hopefully become a memeber of the bulldog family, folowing the steps of her older sister. My brothers, this Fall, will become Eighth Graders. I look forward to going to there football a games this fall as well as attend some of there basketball games to. Sadly to say I have no pets!!!
I love the Band. I was in band for seven years it was a joy. My favorite part was marching season, that is when we played during the football games at halftime. I loved marching on the football field and I also loved to see the reaction of the crowd when we played music.
Welcome, Nikevia. I'm glad you've already made friends here at MSU and are having an easy transition from living at home to living away. What instrument did you play in the band?
