Hello, students, and welcome to the Developmental English class blog. We will use this space to share our opinions and experiences, create content for class discussion, and learn to use a popular electronic communication tool--the blog. You will write one post per week and will comment on at least three posts per week.
I will monitor the blog to ensure that the content is appropriate and related to the assigned topics. A student(s) who misuses the blog in any way will be removed from the account and assigned additional homework to compensate for his or her lack of activity on the blog. Examples of misuse include but are not limited to offensive/inappropriate language, personal use of the blog, derogatory comments, berating others, and failure to respond to the given prompts. I will give one warning of misuse and will remove the student immediately if a second offense occurs.
Developmental English is a course about learning basic practices in Standard American English. Therefore, you should write your blog posts and comments using this English. Do not use shortened versions of words (C U 2day) and do your best to write grammatically correct sentences.
